TCI 08 – Interning at Northrop Grumman (Electrical Engineering)

We invite Joey Wilson for the 8th episode of The College Intern.

Joey is a current junior at the California Polytechnic State University majoring in Electrical Engineering. This past summer, Joey interned in an Electrical Engineering role at Northrop Grumman, one of the largest defense contractors in the world. Throughout the internship, he mainly worked with the team focused on ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) back-up systems. Joey will be going back for another internship at Northrop Grumman this summer, and explains why he liked the company so much – from building connections across all levels and ages, to getting his voice heard even as an intern. Take a listen to the episode as Joey also gives advice for future young professionals!

**Joey’s key advice: Have connections and project experience! You want to get to know as many people as you can, since having a large number of connections is more important than having a few highly developed connections.

**Joey’s dream job: CEO of a large tech company, professional beach volleyball player, jazz saxophonist, race car driver!
